Why is Youth Environmental Education Important?
As a local watershed-based non-profit environmental protection agency, we offer youth environmental education programs that align with our core programs and services. Our education programs are geared for K to Grade 12 and educate youth, through hands-on nature-based activities, on protecting our natural resources, land and water, and our vital ecosystems. Through our programming, local youth discover how they can contribute to a healthy environment while connecting with their natural world. Our goal is to inspire our next generation, through environmental education and nature connection, to choose environmentally friendly practices in their everyday lives to ensure clean water and rich and diverse ecosystems well into the future.
