WATERSHED CONDITIONS STATEMENT ISSUED BY QUINTE CONSERVATION
Unforecasted heavy downpours have caused unexpected localized flooding on roadways, low lying areas, and on small creeks and streams.
There have been reports of roadway flooding around the Hwy 401 corridor. Individuals are advised to exercise caution and avoid driving through deep or fast flowing water.
More rain is forecasted for overnight and into Thursday, which could cause nuisance flooding in some areas.
WATERSHED CONDITIONS STATEMENT: This is a general notice of potential flooding or other conditions that pose a safety risk.
A WATER SAFETY STATEMENT indicates that high flows, unsafe banks, melting ice or other factors could be dangerous for users such as anglers, boaters, swimmers, children or pets. Flooding is not expected.
