UNION GAS MAKES GENEROUS DONATION TO QUINTE CONSERVATION SUMMER EDUCATION PROGRAM
Quinte Conservation’s Wild About Wildlife events are getting a boost thanks to a $1,500 donation from Union Gas. Education Coordinator, Maya Navrot, says “We are very thankful to have received another generous donation from Union Gas. Their support helps us offer these events throughout our watershed at no cost to the participants.”
Navrot adds, “Because of contributions received from Union Gas over the years, we have had the opportunity to further strengthen the education programs in our communities. This means that our watershed initiatives are becoming stronger as youth are learning the importance of a healthy watershed.”
Christian Doig, field supervisor utility services and construction at Union Gas, presented a cheque for $1,500 to Quinte Conservation on August 10, 2018. He says, “At Union Gas, we recognize that the way we care for our air, land and water matters to people in the communities we serve across Ontario.”
Doig adds, “That’s why we’re proud to support the important work that Quinte Conservation is doing for environmental conservation in this community.”
The 2018 Wild About Wildlife days took place in six communities throughout Quinte Conservation’s watershed during the months of July and August.
