PHOTO OPPORTUNITY FOR JULY 22: QUINTE CONSERVATION FISH RESCUE ON THE MOIRA RIVER
WHAT: Quinte Conservation staff will be walking the Moira River in Belleville to move stranded fish from small pools of water into deeper pools due to the low water conditions.
WHERE: Moira River in Belleville along Station Street and Riverside Parks
WHEN: Friday, July 22, 2016 from 9:00am to 11:00am
SEE: Lynette Lambert, Water Monitoring Coordinator.
DETAILS: The Quinte Region is currently in a Level 2 Low Water Condition. Flows in the Moira River are extremely low for this time of year and fish have become stranded in shallow pools of water. This is an excellent opportunity to get photos of Quinte Conservation staff working in the Moira River and to speak to staff about the low water conditions.
