BLAIR SMITH MEMORIAL FISHING WITH KIDS EVENT TO CELEBRATE 16 YEARS OF FAMILY FUN

The 16th annual Blair Smith Memorial Fishing with Kids event, taking place on Saturday, August 24, is a wonderful opportunity for children to experience the joy of fishing and create lasting memories with their families.

"This free event aims to foster a love for fishing among the youth in the community, just as Blair would have wanted,” says Event Organizer Tammy Smith.

Each child attending the event will receive a special loot bag filled with fishing tackle, adding an extra touch of excitement to their day. Additionally, there will be a prize draw, face painting, a fishing pond, a booth with resources from the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters, and complimentary hotdogs and drinks, making it a perfect family outing.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, children must be accompanied by an adult and wear a life jacket. Participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing poles and tackle.

"Blair's legacy lives on through this event. We are honored to continue this tradition and provide a fun-filled day for children and their families," says Smith.

Celebrate Blair Smith’s memory and enjoy a day of fishing, food and fun. For more information about the event, please visit the Blair Smith Memorial Fishing with Kids Facebook page.
