QUINTE CONSERVATION TEMPORARILY CLOSES ALL AREAS FOR CLEANUP FROM ICE STORM

The ice storm that moved through the Quinte Region over the weekend has caused damage to many of Quinte Conservation’s trails, forcing a temporary closure of each conservation area. Field Operations staff are working diligently to clear hazard trees, but this will take time as there are over 75 km of trails throughout the 13 conservation areas that Quinte Conservation manages.

Due to trail conditions, all of Quinte Conservation’s areas are closed temporarily....

FLOOD OUTLOOK ISSUED FOR INLAND LAKES AND WATERCOURSES IN THE QUINTE CONSERVATION WATERSHED

Weather Forecast: A series of storm systems is forecasted to move through the Quinte watershed Friday evening and into Monday morning. Due to the degree of uncertainty of where the storm system will track, the current forecast anticipates 20mm - 40mm of mostly freezing rain with a possibility of rain and snow.
