LOW WATER CONDITION IMPROVING THROUGHOUT QUINTE CONSERVATION WATERSHED
Low water conditions throughout the Moira, Prince Edward, and lower portions of the Napanee and Salmon River Watersheds have returned to normal, as recent rain has helped to improve streamflow and groundwater levels.

Quinte Conservation’s popular Adopt an Acre program is back starting November 1, 2018 and the proceeds from your adoption support the conservation area of your choice.
CAO Brad McNevin says, “In the past, donors were only able to symbolically adopt an acre of Quinte Conservation land; however, this year, individuals can direct their donations to a specific area.”

NEW CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER HIRED AT QUINTE CONSERVATION
Quinte Conservation wishes to welcome Brad McNevin as the new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for the organization.
McNevin, formally an employee of Quinte Conservation, was with the organization for 15 years, and previously with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans as a fisheries biologist.

QUINTE CONSERVATION DECLARES LEVEL 2 LOW WATER CONDITION FOR THE QUINTE CONSERVATION WATERSHED
Quinte Conservation and the Low Water Response Team have declared a Level 2 Low Water Condition due to lack of rainfall and low flows throughout the Quinte Watershed.
Quinte Conservation Watershed Monitoring Coordinator Lynette Lambert says, “The long range forecasts do not show much rain and it looks as though the warm and dry conditions will continue into the fall.”
