Request a Site Visit
Site visits can provide you with valuable information to help you plan your project or make an important decision about buying a piece of property. Staff will address your questions and provide you with a report, map and/or photos of the site and will also inform you about any permit and setback requirements.
If you would like staff to attend your property to answer specific questions, survey the flood plain, delineate a small wetland or discuss the development potential you can request a site visit. Please ensure you fill out the form completely to ensure your questions and concerns are addressed.
Weather Notice for Property Inspections
Weather may impact the timing for site visits and for the review of permit applications. Depending on snow/ice coverage, some inspections may be put on hold and kept in the queue until the spring. Staff will communicate with you via email once you have submitted a site visit request and/or a permit application.
Fees
When submitting your site visit request you must pay the associated fee. This fee will be deduced from your permit fee if you apply for a permit within the same calendar year as your site visit. If you apply for your permit within the same calendar year as your site visit, the fee you paid for the site visit will be applied against the applicable permit application fee.
Our fees can be paid by debit, Visa, Mastercard, or cheque.

Additional information
If you are not the owner of the property where the site visit is requested, please ensure that the owner has provided permission for staff to enter the property.
