Planting Programs

Trees and other plants provide many important functions. Trees create habitat for wildlife, improve air quality, hold carbon, filter runoff, slow soil erosion, and aid in the recharge of groundwater while reducing flooding. Quinte Conservation supports landowner tree planting efforts through advice, landowner grants, and subsidized planting programs.

Interested in urban or rural stewardship? The Bay of Quinte Remedial Action Plan offers cost-sharing incentives and grants to landowners looking to prevent erosion, provide habitat and help improve water quality.

If your residential or agricultural property is on waterfront, you may be eligible for a subsidized shoreline-planting program or shoreline planting kit. 

Shoreline Planting Program

Planning to restore an area of your property back to forest with the planting of at least 500 trees? You may be eligible for a subsidized tree-planting program.
