Weather conditions have improved and the trails at Quinte Conservation’s public Conservation Areas have re-opened. Visitors are advised to dress appropriately for winter weather conditions while enjoying the use of trails.

ALL QUINTE CONSERVATION TRAILS CLOSED DUE TO ICY CONDITIONS
Tuesday’s freezing rain and the recent cold temperatures have created dangerous, icy conditions on the trails at Quinte Conservation’s public Conservation Areas. The environmental organization has closed the trails until conditions improve. Visitors are advised to stay off the trails until they are reopened.

PUBLIC OPEN HOUSE FEBRUARY 23 TO EXAMINE TREATMENT OPTIONS FOR STORMWATER IN DESERONTO
A Public Information Centre will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017, to discuss proposed improvements to the stormwater outfalls that drain into the Mill Pond. The format will be ‘Open House’ and residents are invited to drop in anytime between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Quinte Conservation is celebrating their 70th anniversary and kicking off the year with an outdoor family event at the Frink Centre on the Family Day Holiday. There will be outdoor activities including shelter building, a scavenger hunt, live music, food, and crafts.
