QUINTE CONSERVATION ISSUES WATER SAFETY STATEMENT ABOUT LOCAL ICE CONDITIONS
Recent mild temperatures and rainfall have degraded local ice conditions in the Quinte Conservation watershed. General Manager Terry Murphy says, “Quinte Conservation is urging members of the public to be extremely cautious around local waterways. Ice that was safe earlier may be thinner due to the recent rain.”

FLOOD WARNING CONTINUES FOR MOIRA, NAPANEE AND SALMON RIVER WATERSHEDS
The Flood Warning issued by Quinte Conservation on Sunday remains in effect for the Moira, Napanee, and Salmon River watersheds. Water Resources Manager Christine McClure says, “We expect that water flows and levels will remain high for the next week and have the potential to get worse if we receive a large amount of rainfall in the next few days.”

QUINTE CONSERVATION ISSUES FLOOD WARNING
Quinte Conservation has issued a Flood Warning due to high flows and water levels in local rivers. Water Resources Manager Christine McClure says, “In the Moira River system the flows in the northern region, such as Actinolite and Tweed, have peaked. The Moira River at Foxboro should peak in the next couple of days. The Napanee and Salmon Rivers are approaching their peaks and will remain high for an extended period of time.”

QUINTE CONSERVATION ISSUES FLOOD OUTLOOK STATEMENT DUE TO HEAVY RAIN
Quinte Conservation has issued a Flood Outlook Statement due to heavy rain. Water Resources Manager Christine McClure says, “Areas in our watershed north of highway 7 could see 60 millimetres of rain fall today. Flows in our river systems are still a little high and will get higher between now and early next week.”

QUINTE CONSERVATION’S WATER SAFETY STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MARCH 21
Quinte Conservation’s Water Safety Statement remains in effect until March 21. Water Resources Manager Christine McClure says, “While we don’t expect any flooding, we want the public to be aware of the safety concerns surrounding spring melt conditions.”
