QUINTE CONSERVATION EXTENDS WATER SAFETY STATEMENT DUE TO EXTENDED PERIODS OR WARMING TEMPERATURES AND RAIN
Quinte Conservation is extending the December 21, 2022, Water Safety Statement due to above freezing temperatures and forecasted rain. The above normal temperatures will produce sustained melting conditions. Forecasted rain in the amounts of 20-30 mm will accelerate the melt of the existing snowpack and will create additional runoff into watercourses.
