McLeod Dam Draw Down

McLeod Dam
Small Section of the Moira River in Belleville Lowered
Quinte Conservation has lowered the water level in the Moira River above the McLeod Dam to make needed repairs to the floodwall. The McLeod Dam is located on the Moira River in Belleville beside Cannifton Road, just north of College Street.  The McLeod Dam only affects the river for 800 metres upstream.

A "Species At Risk" is any naturally-occurring plant or animal in danger of extinction or of disappearing from the province.  Each month we feature a sensitive species in our area. This month it's the Milk Snake - a species of Special Concern in Ontario.
