Adopt An Acre 2016

Adopt An Acre 2016 MascotsAdopt An Acre of Quinte Conservation land for $20 and help preserve and protect natural heritage lands. You can adopt an acre for yourself, in memory of a loved one or as a gift.  You will receive a certificate and a tax receipt. If you adopt 2 acres you will receive a plush mascot from Quinte Conservation.  You can choose Fern the Fox or Chippy the Chipmunk.

Quinte Conservation’s popular Adopt an Acre program will help support improvements at local Conservation Areas this year. The money raised with Adopt An Acre will help us to put up interpretive signage. We want to share important information about the natural heritage of these valuable local green and wilderness spaces including trail maps and information about invasive species.

Each year we offer local residents the opportunity to symbolically "adopt" an acre of conservation land to help protect and preserve local green spaces. For $20 donors receive a tax receipt and an adoption certificate in the name of a loved one, friend, teacher or anyone who is interested in supporting a local environmental cause. People can adopt their acre by visiting or calling the Quinte Conservation office or they can adopt online at the links below.

Quinte Conservation hopes to adopt out 225 acres this year. Last year the program raised  $4,000.  In the past the program has helped to pay for signage at local conservation areas, habitat enhancement projects and invasive species removal.
