Programs and Services

General Programs and Services

Quinte Conservation is one of Ontario’s 36 Conservation Authorities.  We are a community based environmental protection agency.  Our main goal is to ensure the healthy co-existence between the community, its environment and its economy.  Our area of jurisdiction includes the watersheds of the Moira, Napanee and Salmon Rivers and all of Prince Edward County.

We provide important conservation advisory services to our 18 local municipalities within our 6,000 square kilometer region.  We own over 12, 000 hectares of land and 39 water control structures.  We provide cost-effective environmental expertise to local communities.

Our mission is to create a sustainable ecosystem where people and nature live in harmony.  Our vision is for Quinte Conservation to be the premier ecologically sustainable watershed.

Quinte Conservation’s primary partners in conservation are our 18 local municipalities.  We also work with the provincial and federal government, community groups, trail and naturalist associations, landowners, service clubs, “Friends of” groups, local school boards and businesses.

Conservation Camp

After over 20 years Quinte Conservation's Conservation Camp program is being replaced with community-based events that will be held across our watersheds.  These events will highlight a range of activities for families including opportunities to learn about their local environment and enjoy outdoor fun.
